Guide
How to start a faceless YouTube or TikTok channel with AI
To start a faceless YouTube or TikTok channel with AI, pick one narrow niche, fix a repeatable episode format, choose a narrator, art style and caption style you will keep for every video, post on a schedule you can sustain, and review each video before it goes out.
AI can do most of the production: the script, the narration, the pictures and the captions. What it cannot do for you is choose a niche people care about, check the facts, or decide what your channel stands for. This guide covers both halves, and says plainly where SeedViral fits and where it does not.
What is a faceless channel?
A faceless channel publishes videos where the creator never appears on camera and often never speaks. The story is carried by a narrator voice, pictures or footage, captions and music. Short vertical formats (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels) suit it well because one clear story fits in under a minute or two.
With AI tools, a single person can produce these videos without filming, recording or editing a timeline. The trade-off is that low-effort AI videos are easy to make and easy to ignore, so the choices below matter more than the tool.
Step 1: Pick a niche you can make many episodes about
Choose a topic that has an endless supply of self-contained stories and an audience that already looks for them. Story-driven niches work well without a face on screen because the narrative does the work.
SeedViral's setup starts from preset niches (Scary stories, History, Mythology, Historical figures, True crime, Stoic motivation, Moral stories) or your own written brief. A preset gives the writer a tested direction; a brief lets you steer every script towards a narrower angle, which also helps your channel feel like yours rather than a template.
A useful test: write down ten episode ideas in five minutes. If you struggle, the niche is too narrow or too vague.
Step 2: Fix the format of every episode
Viewers subscribe to a format they recognise. Decide it once: a hook in the first line, one story told simply, and a payoff or twist at the end. Keep the length consistent too.
SeedViral lets you choose between 30–40 second and 60–70 second videos for a series. Both fit within YouTube Shorts, which YouTube says can now be up to three minutes long, and within TikTok's short-video format.
Step 3: Choose one voice, look and caption style, and keep them
Consistency is what makes a faceless channel recognisable. Pick a narrator voice and language, a soundtrack (or none), an art style and a caption style, then use the same choices for every episode.
In SeedViral these choices are saved with the series, so every video in it keeps the same voice, look and captions. You can preview narrator voices and caption styles during setup. Visuals are illustrated still scenes in your chosen art style with a slow camera move, not filmed or fully animated footage; an optional animated opening is available for credits.
Step 4: Set a posting cadence you can sustain
A steady schedule beats bursts. Start with a cadence you can review properly, then increase it once you know which topics land.
In SeedViral each subscription funds one series at a cadence you choose: Hobby (3 videos a week, $29 a month), Daily (1 video a day, $59 a month), Pro (2 videos a day, $97 a month). Yearly billing is also available. Setup is free and needs no card; generating videos needs an active subscription. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Step 5: Review every video before it goes out
AI-written scripts and AI images can contain factual, visual, language and timing errors. Watch every video before you post it, and check any claim presented as fact.
SeedViral helps here in two ways. You can switch on "Review each script before generation" so you approve or edit the script before the video is made. For the History, Historical figures and True crime niches, each script is written from a retained public source and every scene cites an excerpt from it, which you can read beside the finished video. That is a provenance check, not a fact-check: you still need to watch the video and judge the claims.
Step 6: Post it yourself and follow each platform's rules
SeedViral does not post to your accounts today. You download each finished video (an MP4 in 1080×1920 vertical format) and upload it to TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Reels yourself, adding your own title, description and hashtags. Finished videos stay available to download for 90 days. Check current availability for what is switched on.
Platform rules for AI content change, so check them when you start. As of 24 September 2026: YouTube asks creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content, while clearly unrealistic or animated content does not need the label. TikTok asks creators to label AI-generated content that contains realistic images, audio or video, and offers a built-in label for it.
If you want to earn from YouTube, read its monetisation policies first. YouTube says content that is mass-produced, generic or repetitive, including AI-generated videos made from generic templates, is not eligible for monetisation. Your own niche angle, varied topics and careful review are what separate a channel from a content farm.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to show my face or record my voice?
No. Narration uses the AI narrator voice you choose, and the visuals are illustrated scenes in your chosen art style. You never need to film or record yourself.
How long should a faceless short video be?
Long enough to tell one story with a clear payoff. SeedViral offers 30–40 second and 60–70 second videos; YouTube says Shorts can be up to three minutes long.
Is AI-generated content allowed on YouTube and TikTok?
Yes, with disclosure rules. As of 24 September 2026, YouTube asks creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content, and TikTok asks creators to label AI-generated content with realistic images, audio or video. Check each platform's current rules before you post.
Can a faceless AI channel make money?
It can, but nothing guarantees it, and SeedViral makes no promise of views or income. YouTube says mass-produced, generic or repetitive content, including AI videos made from generic templates, is not eligible for monetisation, so give your channel a distinct angle and review every video.
Does SeedViral post the videos for me?
Not today. You download each finished video and upload it yourself. Publishing to a platform only switches on once that integration is approved and enabled.
How much does it cost to run a faceless series with SeedViral?
Setup is free with no card. Each subscription covers one series, from $29 a month for 3 videos a week. The pricing page shows every plan and yearly billing.
